Branching scenarios are a great way to engage learners in online content. Learners are presented with a scenario and then they can select responses that lead to specific outcomes. Good scenarios are based on real-world situations your learners will encounter. The choices presented to them should reflect real choices employees or customers have made in the past.

This is a simple branching scenario. In general, scenarios should be very detailed and include multiple branches. Some branches should also include opportunities for the learner to recover if they’ve chosen unsuccessfully.
